College Access Summer Camps

To protect the health and safety of our community, P-16 Summer 2020 camps have been cancelled.  Students and families are welcome to visit our At-Home Services and University Starts at Home pages for information and support on higher education resources.

More information on camps that will be held remotely is available on the 2020 Sumer Camps web page.

College Access Project (C.A.P.) Summer Leadership Camp, a four-day camp in which high school students are encouraged and given the tools to become successful university scholars.

TXSTxperience: College Admissions Made Possible (C.A.M.P.), a new, 4-day camp that invites high schoolers to experience college life at TXST and assists them in completing their college applications.

Attendees of both College Access Summer Camps will experience college life inside and outside of the classroom, visiting different academic departments and meeting with professors and staff to learn about available course options and academic support resources on campus. They will also have the opportunity to tour Spring Lake while riding the historic glass bottom boats, learn about the environmentally sensitive San Marcos river at the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment, climb at the TXST Student Recreation Center, eat breakfast and lunch at on-campus dining halls, and tour TXST’s world-class academic halls, residence halls, and athletic complexes. Ice breakers and team building activities will be facilitated by Texas State undergraduate and graduate students. Workshops will be facilitated by university faculty and staff.

Both camps are held for four days on the Texas State University campus in San Marcos, and are FREE to attend.
